The Four Corners Foundry and Metal Workshops!

This intro to lost wax bronze casting is focused on the specialized process of burning organic materials foraged from the natural world. Attendees will be introduced to the lost wax process, ceramic shell mold making, organic burnout method, bronze casting, and metal finishing of their own urban foraged organic pattern. Mushrooms, leaves, buds, sticks, wood carvings, ethically sourced dead things, etc etc etc cast eternal in bronze. Learn an ancient craft and create your own preserved moment in time

March 14th (Wax working, Pattern Sprueing and Ceramic Shell Mold Making)

March 21st (Casting day)

March 22nd (Metal grinding, tig welding, and finishing)
